Last night the wife and I and another couple decided we’d try “The Flipside Restaurant ” located at 129 Caldwell St in downtown Rock Hill. They were very busy and on about an hour wait. We decided to sit outside in the alley. To our surprise, it was very quiet and the alley got a nice breeze flowing through it. We started off with their Brussels which were out of this world and a good amount on the plate to share with 4 people. The ladies tried the Whiskey Bourbon Slush and the Flipside Mule and raved about them both. Very refreshing drinks and of course the mule was served in a copper mug.
Before our meal, they brought some amazing homemade bread and raspberry butter. It was slap your momma good. Dinner followed shortly after with pork tacos and a side salad, farmhouse chicken with pepperoni sauce, and one ordered the mushroom soup and a side of risotto. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal! My wife and I spent about $65 for a starter, main entree and 2 drinks. The average entree price is around $20 and the specialty drinks are $10. I’d say it’s a perfect place for a date, business meal or to take guest to. Our service was wonderful and the waitress made great recommendations. I’d highly encourage asking them their opinions. Also, if you think about it and don’t want to wait, call ahead and make reservations. While downtown, you may as well walk to the fountain and enjoy the awesome installation the city put in. It’s a nice walk a block down. I think we sat there for another hour just talking. Very nice spot. We have an awesome downtown. Time to get out and enjoy it!
